this is the new art and design academy at john moors university photographed in the snow.

...and this is the mask/ headpiece that i made recently as a device for listening to a sound piece that a friend and i worked on. it features in-built headphones. it is modelled on a doctors mask from 1656.
there is no vision from inside the mask just sound.

these are some objects that i have been working on. i became interested the ideas behind minimal art after reading a few books on the subject. Through the application of a uniform colour/pigment/paint I tried to simplify the found objects to their basic state. Taking away their natural patina and focusing attention to their form and general texture.

i had planned to upload some un-edited (or very basically edited) footage of motorway lines/road markings and other linear motorway sequences. but computers hate me. i had also planned to make a video using some of the footage but there were more technical difficulties. the idea was to use the motorway as a metaphor for life, with it having a begining and an end aswell as a whole load of other parallels.

these two photographs are related to the video and are about all that i can show at the moment.
